You can almost SMELL summer in the air ... the freshly cut grass.. the budding leaves coming into fresh full bloom.. the wedge of lime in your Margarita while the bbq cooking... Green is just the freshest of colours and with so many accessories around at the moment its easy to bring a little of that zesty colour into your home!

For centuries, colour has been known to have a profound effect on the mind. So what can lime green do for you? Think nature, green signifyies freshness, harmony and life. "Going green" these days implies a return to the natural way or doing things and a great respect for natures balance.

Green promotes calmness and healing but also energy and has the properties to revive a tired spirit. It implies someone that is tangy, tasty and bold! Use lime green as an accent colour to add some vibrancy to a room that needs a lift.  A few precautions though - tone lime green with soft powdery shades and in kitchens be careful to select the right shade - too yellow and you've got slimy walls and it can look a little sickly. Another trick is to use complimentary colours and punch that can be achieved with lime green can be maximised. The effect will make the green "pop" yet not appear overwhelming. For a contemporary twist there are positives in using wild combinations such as purple/ violet and green (check out our purple page!) The brighter the green the more energised you feel - lime green will just put you in a positive frame of mind!

Remember lime green is eye catching and trendy...  Is it any wonder that green promotes optimism!? Go on ... add a new twist to "going green!"
